Hot Works and Safety Watch Training
Yes, we offer fire safety training such as the use of Fire Extinguishers and Suppression, becoming an Emergency or Fire Warden, and general Workplace Safety Awareness, but did you know we also offer a Hot Works and Safety Watch course?
This course details the importance of the correct safety gear and knowledge when completing hot works, such as welding or soldering. It can be tempting to not worry about wearing those uncomfortable gloves or masks, but this course will help you to always remember that safety equipment next time you pick up those tools, because you know, they might just save your life!
At Training 4 Safety we are passionate about safety in the workplace and home, and don’t just offer training to the Northland district, but nationwide too. Many refineries and ports around New Zealand have recently been completing shutdown, where staff must be qualified in Safety and Fire Watch. A number of businesses outside of Northland were preparing for their mutual client’s shutdown, when they realised they had no staff qualified in Safety and Fire Watch, so they couldn’t start till they had those qualifications.
After looking at the training available to them locally and not finding anything suitable, they took to the internet and found us after a quick google search. We were able to offer them online training which shortened the shutdown postponement. Within 24 hours of getting in touch with us, they had purchased and completed the right course for them and could begin work on their shutdown with minimal delay!
If you have staff in hot works that aren’t qualified in Safety and Fire Watch, just need a refresher with the ever-changing industry, or are simply doing some work around the house but don’t know where to start when it comes to all the safety requirements, then get in touch with us and we can work out the perfect course for you!
